Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website rating service provided by RateAnySite. By using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
1. What the service does
RateAnySite lets you register websites, write star ratings and reviews, read other people’s ratings, and use related community features. Some features require signing in with Google or Apple.
2. Your responsibilities
- Do not post content that infringes someone else’s rights or is unlawful.
- Do not post false information, harassment, hate speech, spam, or anything that disrupts the service.
- Keep your account secure and take responsibility for activity carried out through it.
3. Prohibited content and zero tolerance
RateAnySite has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users.
3-1. Content you post
The following is prohibited and will be removed on discovery, and the account may be suspended:
- Harassment, threats, or disclosure of private information about an individual
- Hate speech or discriminatory language
- Defaming a person or business through false statements or unfounded accusations
- Sexually explicit language, or graphic descriptions of sexual acts or genitalia
- Non-consensual sexual content, any sexual depiction involving minors, and synthetic or manipulated sexual imagery
- Spam, manipulated ratings, or repetitive posting
- Unlawful information
This section applies to what you write yourself — rating text, replies, display names, and profiles. Describing factually what kind of site a rated site is remains permitted.
Ratings must be based on your own actual experience, and you should not state as fact something you have not verified.
3-2. Sites that get rated
The nature of a site is not by itself a reason it cannot be registered. RateAnySite does not promote the sites listed on it, and the presence of a site entry is not a recommendation or an endorsement. Sites of the following kinds may not be registered and will be removed on discovery:
- Sites providing child sexual abuse material
- Sites arranging or brokering sexual services in exchange for compensation, including prostitution, escort, and paid-companionship services
- Sites providing services that are plainly unlawful under applicable law
Sites whose primary content is adult material are labelled as such and excluded from search engine indexing.
3-3. Reporting and handling
Every rating, account, and site entry can be reported from inside the service. You can also block another user: their ratings stop appearing for you, and they can no longer rate you or your ratings. We review reports as quickly as we can, remove content that violates these terms, and restrict the author’s access where necessary.
4. User content
You keep the rights to the ratings and replies you write. You grant us the permission needed to store, reproduce, and display that content in order to operate and render the service. Content that infringes rights or violates our policies may be restricted or removed.
5. Editing and deleting ratings
You can edit or delete ratings you have posted. To preserve conversation context and replies beneath it, a deletion notice may remain where a deleted rating stood. You can delete your account from your profile screen.
6. Changes to and interruption of the service
We may change or temporarily suspend parts of the service for improvements, security, maintenance, or operational reasons. Where possible we will give advance notice of material changes.
7. Limitation of liability
Ratings shown in the service are the opinions of their authors and do not represent the official position of RateAnySite. To the extent permitted by law, RateAnySite does not warrant the accuracy of user content or the quality or safety of external websites.
8. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. We will announce material changes in the service and update the effective date above.
